Quality Checks and Certifications

We maintain the highest international quality standards for all our agro-products. The division of responsibility for quality checks and certifications is outlined below:

3.1.1 Seller's Responsibility

  • The following certifications and inspections are included in the product pricing:

  • Phytosanitary Certificate: Issued by the Customs House Agent (CHA), certifying compliance with plant health standards of the importing country.

  • Fumigation Certificate: Provided when goods are packed in wooden containers to confirm that fumigation and pest control measures have been completed.

  • Third-Party Testing: We arrange third-party testing through accredited agencies (e.g., SGS) to verify compliance with international quality standards, including moisture content, aflatoxins, pesticide residues, and other key parameters.

  • Export Inspection Certificate: Issued by the relevant Export Promotion Council (EPC), certifying that the goods comply with export regulations.

  • Quality Certifications: Relevant certifications from manufacturers/suppliers (at no additional cost), including:

    • FDA (Food and Drug Administration)

    • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

    • Halal

    • BRC Food (British Retail Consortium)

    • Basic Lab Testing: Standard laboratory tests for moisture content, foreign matter, aflatoxins, and color consistency.

3.1.2 Buyer's Responsibility

  • The following inspections or certifications may be required by the buyer and will be at the buyer's expense:

  • Additional Third-Party Testing: If the buyer requires specific or additional tests (e.g., for pesticide residues, heavy metals), these will be arranged by the buyer.

  • In-Country Quality Inspections: The buyer bears the cost of local inspections conducted by customs authorities or local agencies upon the product’s arrival in the destination country.

  • Pre-Shipment Inspection by Buyer-Appointed Agency: If the buyer opts for an independent inspection before shipment, they will be responsible for the associated costs.

  • Special Compliance Certifications: Certifications that fall outside the standard set (e.g., Kosher, additional Organic certifications) will be arranged at the buyer’s request and expense.

  • Destination-Specific Compliance: Any costs related to compliance with specific import regulations, such as specialized labeling or packaging, are the responsibility of the buyer.

3.2

Inspection Period

Upon receipt of the goods, the buyer must inspect the shipment for any defects, shortages, or damages within 14 days. Notification of any issues must be provided in writing along with supporting documentation. If a refund is applicable, it will be processed in accordance with RBI (Reserve Bank of India) guidelines, ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations.
